The painter Joaquín Sorolla spent seasons painting in Ayamonte, and left an artistic legacy in works inspired by the area, such as Tuna fishing, plus that today a house with a bust is preserved in his honor.
Cycling routes
From Ayamonte you can take bike routes such as the one that connects Islantilla through the Costa Verde, ideal for enjoying the marshes in a quiet natural environment; also highlights the route to Isla Cristina, accessible and perfect for all levels, or the longer route to Huelva, which crosses towns such as Lepe and Gibraleón and offers a more complete cycling experience despite some uneven sections.
